McCarthy Predicts Crockett Could Be Voted Out After Scathing NYP Story

Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett, one of Congress’s most outspoken anti-Trump voices, was the target of a blistering investigation this week that described her as a “diva” who terrorizes staff workers.

Several congressional aides who worked for or with Crockett told the New York Post this week that Crockett, 44, called the fiery lawmaker “rude” and was rarely in her Washington, D.C., office except when the cameras were filming.

During an interview on Fox News, former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy spoke with Jesse Watters about the profile and predicted that this could all end with Crockett being “escorted out” of office by the voters in 2026.

“I don’t want to hear Jasmine Crockett talk about helping black women when she just fired one for no reason. This is exactly how she really acts. Those were exact quotes. Not from the opposition, not from Republicans and not from just any Democrats, those were from her staff. She hasn’t been in Congress very long. They say she does not show up, she lays around her apartment, she cares more about press then representing people and she’s known to yell and lose her mind over small random items. We always in Congress have one or two people like this and everybody knows who they are. She’s the one in this cycle who may very well be escorted out of office by voters,” McCarthy said.

“They do this because in today’s politics — it’s true, if you look at her staff, exact same argument. But what happens is, by going on television is how they raise their money. I want the people across this country to look at who shows up to work, who represents you, who’s there working the hardest for you and showing up. That’s an important part. If you just look at how people treat their staff, that will tell you a lot about how they treat their constituents,” McCarthy added.
