Comedian Katt Williams took an unprovoked swipe at Angel Reese during a recent podcast appearance, poking fun at the WNBA sophomore over her penchant for missed layups
Williams, who stirred the pot on Shannon Sharpe’s ‘Club Shay Shay’ last year by calling damn near every other comedian out, was a guest on Carmelo Anthony’s ‘7PM in Brooklyn’ podcast this week. This time, the interview wasn’t nearly as explosive, but he did take a jab at Reese while admitting his own limitations on the court, given his diminutive stature.
“I’m 5’5, so I don’t have any above-the-rim experience,” Katt confessed. “But I’m not Angel Reese — I’m 99% on my layups because I can’t afford to miss them. My layup is my dunk.”

Reese has received much criticism because of her reputation for missing shots in the post and her knack for snagging rebounds, many of which come off her own missed shots.

The latter prompted the “Mebounds” joke, which she has since turned into a brand, trademarking the phrase and putting out merchandise. She’s followed that up with another massive achievement, having made the cover of the WNBA Edition of ‘NBA 2K26.’
Despite the table-turning W, it’s hard to see how she’s going to parlay Katt Williams’ joke into cold hard cash, although “Above-The-Rim Experience” seems like a good place to start.
She’s just going to have to dunk first.
