Panic Erupts on Flight After Rabbit Causes Engine Explosion

A United Airlines flight was compelled to execute an emergency landing after a rabbit became trapped in the right engine, resulting in a frightening incident during the flight.

The Boeing 737, en route from Denver to Edmonton with 159 passengers on board, encountered a loud explosion shortly after takeoff. Flames erupted from the engine, and the aircraft experienced severe turbulence.

Passenger Scott Wolff recounted a “tremendous shake and a loud blast,” although the plane continued to ascend. Shortly thereafter, flames were visible behind the right wing, inciting panic among those on board.

Video recordings captured passengers rushing to peer out the windows, while screams echoed throughout the cabin, accompanied by crying infants and one woman persistently notifying the crew about the fire.

In spite of the turmoil, the pilot successfully navigated the aircraft back to Denver. All passengers were subsequently transferred to another plane, which completed the journey without any further issues.
