An elderly woman from Florida contacted 911 via her mobile phone to report a break-in to her vehicle. She was in a state of distress as she detailed her predicament to the dispatcher: “They have taken the stereo, the steering wheel, the brake pedal, and even the accelerator!” she exclaimed.

The dispatcher instructed, “Remain composed. An officer is en route.” Moments later, the officer communicated via radio, “Cancel that request.” He added, “She entered the back seat inadvertently.”
