SENATE CONFIRMS RODNEY SCOTT TO LEAD BORDER PROTECTION

In a narrow 51–46 vote, the U.S. Senate officially confirmed Rodney Scott as head of Customs and Border Protection — a major win for President Trump’s immigration agenda. Once ousted under Biden for rejecting politically driven terminology changes, Scott returns with a clear mission: restore “law, fact, and evidence” to border enforcement.

The veteran Border Patrol chief, who helped design Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” and Title 42 policies, pledged to defend U.S. sovereignty and “put America first.” Trump praised him as a proven leader who “achieved record-low illegal immigration.” With the Supreme Court now siding 6–3 to back Trump’s deportation authority, Scott’s appointment signals a decisive turn toward stronger border control and the reversal of Biden-era policies.
