Angel Reese has been hit with a dose of reality, with ticket prices for Saturday’s second meeting between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever dropping significantly, given Caitlin Clark’s absence.
Reese previously claimed that she is partly responsible for the WNBA’s growing viewership, stating that people also watch women’s basketball because of her, and not just Caitlin, but she may have overreached.
The rivals had a feisty first meeting in their opening game last month, and fans were eagerly anticipating the second matchup. However, Clark has been out with a quad injury and won’t take part in tonight’s contest.

The first game, which the Fever dominated, cost $75, the lowest price you could pay to get in. The lowest-priced tickets for tonight’s game initially sold for $65 but quickly dropped to $29 after Caitlin’s injury was announced.
They dropped even lower on Saturday, which came as no surprise. Still, hardly anyone expected tickets to go for just $3, which turned out to be the case
While it’s no secret that Caitlin Clark is the bigger draw of the two, no one thought it was that bad.
To be fair, Angel Reese’s finishing at the rim is not something anyone’s looking forward to seeing nowadays. It’s something she’s got to work on.
